As a graduate of renowned Indiana University School of Optometry, Dr. Chatwani completed her Residency at the top-ranked UC Berkeley School of Optometry and specialized in Contact Lens and Low Vision care. During her Residency, Dr. Chatwani served as a Clinical Instructor at UC Berkeley and the California School for the Blind. Dr. Chatwani also worked at Eye Physicians of the East Bay, a leading Ophthalmology practice in Oakland, CA. She also served as an Associate at Livermore Optometry Group for five years.
In addition to working in the office, Dr.Chatwani currently serves as the official EYE DOCTOR to the Oakland Athletics and enjoys seeing the players and attending spring training.

Dr. Chatwani and her husband, Robert, have two daughters named Diya (13), Shreya (10) and a son, Niyam (8) Together they enjoy playing dates at the park, travel, and lots of swimming.
Dr. Samantha Young was born and raised in the Bay Area and graduated from UC San Diego with a B.S. in General Biology and minor in Psychology. Having to rely on glasses as early as 7 years old to see clearly, she has always been fascinated by the optometric field. She completed her optometry degree at UC Berkeley School of Optometry where she refined her skills in primary care and became glaucoma certified.
Dr. Young has experience in primary eyecare, Veteran affairs clinics, and other community clinics in the Bay Area. Dr. Young is currently working in a private practice in Castro Valley and is excited to join the team at Tri-City Optometry. She has experience working with patients of all ages, from children to seniors. She is passionate about providing comprehensive eye exams to meet patients’ visual demands and educating patients on the importance of preventative care.

Dr. Yujia Zhang is a bay area native who moved to the tri-city area in 2021. After graduating from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, she went on to pursue her doctorate of optometry at UC Berkeley's School of Optometry. During her training, she completed rotations through VA Puget Sound, Marin Community Clinics, UCSF Proctor Institution as well as Berkeley Eye Center's specialty and primary care clinics. Dr. Zhang practices full-scope optometry and is TPA certified to manage various ocular conditions including glaucoma. She has a special interest in myopia control and is certified to fit the Paragon CRT overnight lenses, as well as MiSight multifocal soft contact lenses. Dr. Zhang is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and doing photography recreationally.
