Shital S. Chatwani, O.D.

As a graduate of renowned Indiana University School of Optometry, Dr. Chatwani completed her Residency at the top-ranked UC Berkeley School of Optometry and specialized in Contact Lens and Low Vision care. During her Residency, Dr. Chatwani served as a Clinical Instructor at UC Berkeley and the California School for the Blind. Dr. Chatwani also has over 5 years of experience working at Eye Physicians of the East Bay, a leading Ophthalmology practice in Oakland, CA. In addition, she serves as an Associate at Livermore Optometry Group. Dr. Chatwani welcomes you to Tri-City Optometry.

Dr. Chatwani’s experience includes:

• Primary Eye Care-Complete eye care services for adults & children, including emergency services. • Contact lens fitting & Training- Expertise in soft & rigid contact lens fittings, Keratoconus treatment, post-surgical and multi-focal contact lenses. • Low Vision- Low vision evaluation and device recommendation. • Disease Management- Testing for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration & diabetes management. • LASIK & Cataract Co-management- Collaboration with leading Ophthalmologists for pre- and post-operative care.

Dr. Chatwani and her husband, Robert, have two daughters named Diya and Shreya. Together they enjoy play dates at the park, travel, and lots of swimming.



Karin Rardin, O.D.

Karin Rardin is a native of Northern California. She graduated from University of California, Davis with a BS in Applied Behavioral Science. After earning an MA from Biola University, she attended University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry where she received her Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Rardin currently lives in Fremont with her husband, son and twin daughters.
